Mistaking Examples of the Quran’s Art of Belagat for Contradiction

Belagat; is the art of speaking beautiful words that are proper and truthful, fitting and exactly in place according to those being addressed. The Quran is a universal Book because it addresses every mind, every age, every culture and geography. For this reason, whatever attitude a person adopts toward the Quran, the Quran too addresses him accordingly.
Some people who do not yet know or do not want to know this aspect of the Quran, saying of Surah An-Nisa verse 157, since the Jews do not believe that he is a messenger, why is it reported in the Quran that they speak of Prophet Jesus in the form ‘the Messenger of Allah, Messiah Jesus son of Mary’? ”, claim that there is a contradiction in the Quran.

In the Quran this situation is called İSTİHZA. It is a word from the root from which the concept müstehzi (mocking), also used in Turkish, comes as well.
“We killed the Messenger of Allah, Messiah Jesus son of Mary” because of their saying this. Whereas they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; he was only shown to them as a likeness. Those who enter into dispute about him are in complete doubt concerning him. They have no knowledge concerning him; they only follow supposition. They definitely did not kill him.” (Surah An-Nisa, verse 157)
As is also understood from the verse, it is very clear that the polytheists of the Jews of course did not regard Prophet Jesus as a messenger. If it were so, they would already have joined the disciples as believers. Moreover, mocking this matter, they say -we killed even the one you suppose to be a messenger-. A similar example of the art of belagat also occurs in many verses of the Quran. For example;
They said: “O man to whom revelation comes! You are definitely someone possessed by jinn!” (Surah Al-Hijr, verse 6)
(Pharaoh) Said: «Surely your Messenger who has been sent to you is truly a madman.» (Surah Ash-Shu'ara, verse 27)
